Hi, I’m Amaía

I’m a divergent thinking multi-faceted designer that graduated from Pratt Institute in New York as a Communications Design Major specializing in Graphic Design. My time in New York gave me to work with a variety of agencies that specialize in advertising, social media marketing, package design, UX/UI and branding.

After my time in New York I thought might catch some sun in the tropics of the Philippines– where I was born and raised. During my time in Manila I’ve worked on multiple freelance projects that have given me the opportunity to tap into all the fields of design that peak my interest.

My work is greatly inspired by my experiences in and out of the studio. I believe in the importance of work and play to keep allow for divergent thinking and implementing a design with intension practice. Producing work that uses the concept the compass to lead the direction of the work and meet the goals of each client. As a designer, it is crucial to understand the way that audiences see work and how it may be digested through different perspectives. Being able to put yourself in the shoes of the viewer, and putting forth work that is not only pleasing but positively impactful and maintains the integrity of brand it’s representing.
